3D printing materials - Bio-compatible MED610

Bio-compatible PolyJet photopolymer (MED610) is a rigid additive material for the medical field. It has a high dimensional stability and is colourless and transparent. The material is suitable for applications requiring long term skin contact (more than 30 days) and short term mucosal contact (up to 24 hours). The biocompatible material has 5 medical approvals including: cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, delayed hypersensitivity, allergenicity and US Pharmacopoeia plastic class VI. (Biological testing: Parts printed in accordance with the Objet MED610 Terms of Use and Maintenance have been assessed for biocompatibility in accordance with the standard DIN EN ISO 10993-1:2009, Biological evaluation of medical devices - Part 1: Evaluation and testing in the risk management process. (This part covers cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, delayed hypersensitivity reactions and USP plastic class VI, which includes irritation, acute systemic toxicity and transplantation tests.)

Biocompatible materials can be used in all Objet Eden and Objet Connex 3D printers.
